The Wedding Industry Awards 2018

TWIA 2018

Last year we took part in The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) 2017, and we were voted Regional Finalist ♥. We were so excited about this, as the TWIA is a great award to have in the Wedding Industry. It also meant my husband and I got to dress up and attend the Awards Night at Old Down Manor, with so many incredible suppliers from the South West. It was a great evening, and one I felt really lucky to take part in! (more…)

Pastel rustic barn wedding for Lauren + Chris // REAL WEDDING

Today I’m excited to share Lauren + Chris’ pastel, rustic wedding at Kingscote Barn, thanks to Charlotte’s photos from Bristol Contemporary Photography. Lauren had her heart set on a rustic, barn wedding from the start, and I think you’ll agree from the photos that they achieved this beautifully!

Lauren + Chris met at University, and got engaged on their 6 year anniversary at a spa hotel. Chris had made Lauren a photo book and at the end it said “will you marry me?” ♥

For the flowers, Lauren decorated a lot of jars with jute string, burlap and lace. The venue was decorated with a lot of these jam jars, with a variety of pastel colours.

A Spring Workshop on a Boat

Emerald & Jade Flowers - Bristol Workshop www.emeraldandjadeflowers.com

Last week we celebrated the return of Spring (yay!) and what better way to celebrate than a workshop teaching a lovely group how to make their very own Spring hand-tied Bouquet. The workshop took place at the Floating Harbour Studios, which is a boat, or more specifically, a converted 1905 steel dutch barge moored in an enviable secluded spot on the water in the heart of the city. A perfect location for a twilight workshop!

Valentine’s Day is just over two weeks away, so make sure to get your bouquet orders in this week! Emerald & Jade Flowers is now taking orders.

If you aren’t familiar with our work, have a look on our Instagram account which is full of beautiful, colourful flowers!

  • Bouquets will be gift wrapped and aqua-packed for you. We are offering three prices:

  • Orders to be made by Monday 6th February 2017, and payment is to be made online by Tuesday 7th February 2017 at the latest. (think about it, then it’s done done and paid for, ready for your grand gesture 😉 )

Whatever you believe about Valentine’s Day, flowers always go a long way. I meet so many women who tell me they NEVER get bought flowers… seriously, so many! So make sure this year you get them a beautiful, unique bouquet.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Emerald & Jade Flowers

Happy New Year everyone!

If you’re like me, you might feel as though 2017 has been going on for a long time already, and when people ask you about Christmas you wonder why they’re asking you about something that happened so long ago! Funny how time can go so quickly, yet we are only in mid January…

My intention was always to write a blog post at the end of 2016… It was a great year for Emerald & Jade Flowers, and I am incredibly grateful for everyone who helped support my business, from all the amazing clients I had, friends and family who recommended me to everyone around them, the incredible suppliers I’ve met and worked with… Working in an office as a lawyer seems like a long, long time ago (which I guess in a way, it was). Becoming a Regional Finalist for The Wedding Industry Awards was an amazing cherry to go on top all of that!

Being self-employed, means I am lucky to work when and how I want, which is simply amazing especially when working around two little ones. My eldest turned 6 just before Christmas, and I am so grateful to be able to work around her and her brother, and I am also grateful for my clients who happily let me take them to consultations with me at times were I couldn’t leave them at home.

Emerald & Jade Flowers

2016 was a very big year for me, and for Emerald & Jade Flowers. But I am equally excited about 2017. For the time being, I have decided to focus mainly on Wedding Flowers. As I work from home, I take on a limited amount of weddings each year, so that I can give my full attention to each couple for their big day. From the consultation until even after the big day, I remain available to all my clients for any queries they may have concerning their flowers and their wedding. 2017 is looking busy already but I do still have some free dates, so don’t hesitate to get in touch to book a consultation here.

I also have some exciting ideas to go alongside the flowers, so keep your eyes peeled for more info!

Most of all, 2017 will be the year I continue to explore ways to live a beautiful life. Which is also what Emerald & Jade Flowers is all about. In line with this, I am working on an incredible giveaway for Mothers’ Day, along with some amazing Bristol suppliers. Details will be announced via Instagram so make sure you follow me so you don’t miss out.

I am also working to host a variety of workshops and I am currently looking into various venue options in Bristol to host these. If you would like to take part in a workshop, or if you have a space that would feel would be perfect for such an event, please do get in touch 🙂

So here’s to another year filled with flowers, beauty, and a happy, mindful life ♥

What will you be focusing on in 2017?
