Find my top 5 wedding venues in Bristol below. Bristol is such a beautiful, vibrant city, with so much to offer! I am going to be running a little series on my favourite wedding suppliers in Bristol and its’ surrounging areas, to help you along with your wedding planning.
In the first of this series: wedding venues! Pretty much the first thing you will need to consider when wedding planning, as once you have the venue, everything then goes from there. Indeed, once you book the wedding venue, the wedding date gets confirmed. You can then look to book other suppliers. It also helps set the theme a little, as the decor & style of the venue will help you decide what suppliers to choose in terms of style.
So here goes, in no particular order, my current top 5 wedding venues in Bristol:
Paintworks Events Space is such a great blank canvas, mixing industrial and modern. I have attended wedding fairs there with Chosen Wedding in the past, worked on a photoshoot there as well as worked on weddings there too. It is also close to the City centre and easy to get to. With a great photographer on board, they can really capture the surroundings beautifully for you. I’ve seen photos from Noel Deasington and worked with Through the Woods We Ran on my above mentioned photoshoot, and I absolutely love how they captured this venue!
Berwick Lodge is a gorgeous little hidden gem. Really easy to get to, yet tucked away you could drive past it without knowing it’s there, perfect for that little bit of privacy for your wedding day. With beautiful buildings, rooms on site and beautiful gardens, I love working there. I was there on a grey day in January for this photoshoot and the weather didn’t dampen the luxurious feel of it. It was also beautiful on Melissa & Jamie’s Autumn wedding.
The Matara Centre
I discovered the Matara Centre at a wedding fair last year, and have been wanting to style a wedding there ever since. I have two weddings booked there for September and I can’t wait!
I happen to live quite close to Arnos Vale, and I remember the first time I saw that they did weddings. I thought it a little odd as I mostly know it as a cemetery. Which is silly really, as churches will more often than not have a graveyard surrounding the church, so it’s no different really. Except that it is. It’s so much more. Arnos Vale is surrounded by beautiful woods, as well as really grand buildings. They also offer a Twilight Woodland Wedding package, which is beautiful. The food is provided by their onsite kitchen: Kate’s Kitchen which is really good (they also do great cakes and lunches during the day!).
You can also see beautiful photos of Arnos Vale from a recent Beauty & The Beast Inspired photoshoot that took place there earlier this year.
I first discovered Folly Farm when I was looking at wedding venues for my sister’s wedding. I loved it straight away, and had we gotten married in the UK, it was on our list of potential venues. With onsite accomodation, stunning views all round and situated on a nature reserve, I love it. It also has a huge kitchen you can use whilst you celebrate your wedding over a whole weekend. It is also child friendly with lots for them to explore.
So there you go. There are of course, soooo many other gorgeous venues in Bristol and its’ surrounding areas. I’d love to hear from you on whether you got married at any of the above, and if not, share you love for other Bristol venues in the comments below ♥♥♥♥
